Here's a lovely start to your day. Mariah Carey was rushed to hospital after dislocating her shoulder on Sunday night.
The 43-year-old singer was on the set of the music video for her '#Beautiful' (the name of which we still struggle with but there's a time and place) remix with Jeezy - which is being directed by her husband Nick Cannon - when she took a tumble which caused the injury on Sunday but her reps insists MC is fine.
Mariah's spokesperson Cindi Berger told the New York Post: 'Mariah was injured while filming a video for the remix of #Beautiful, directed by her husband Nick Cannon. She was taken to hospital late last night, where doctors reset her shoulder. She is fine and is recovering at home.'
Mariah was filming the video in New York when the incident occurred and was rushed to the NY Hospital for Special Surgery on the Upper East Side. It is believed she may have fallen due to the high heels she was wearing for the video shoot. Unless they were particularly skyscraper in height, we don't see why that'd be new territory for Mimi. However, despite the injury, Mariah is still expected to perform at the Hurricane Sandy benefit concert in Central Park's Great Lawn on July 13. A source said: 'She will perform, but it is likely she will have her arm in a sling.'
We're sure it'll be the most blinging and glittery sling the world has ever seen. We're actually looking forward to it.
