If we were taking odds on the outcome of today's match, we'd have been laughed at for possibly thinking Manchester United could lose TWO-ONE to Swansea.
And yet, here we are.
In what was supposed to be manager Louis Van Gaal's triumphant start to a new league, casting aside the horrors of Moyes' reign, it now looks as though Manchester United is in for a turbulent Premier League.
The last time Manchester United lost a starting game at Old Trafford was back in 1972 against Ipswich. Liverpool would go on to win that year, with Manchester United sack then-manager Frank O'Farrell.
Today's match saw Swansea's Ki Sung-yeung and Gyfi Sigurdsson scoring for Swansea while Wayne Rooney scoring the only goal for the home side. A third goal was almost conceded, however Bafetembi Gomis flustered his shot.
Despite 60% of the possession, United were unable to equalise the score before the 90 minutes and now sit at the bottom of the table for the moment.
United's next game will be against Sunderland at the Stadium of Light on Sunday, August 24th.
