A man attempting to cross the Irish Sea had to be towed back to shore by the UKĀ coastguard after he was found in a dinghy 2.7 miles off the coast of Dorset.
The man, who was trying to sail from Dorset to Ireland, was using a 6ft inflatable dinghy and two oars (one used as a sail, the other as a rudder) to make the journey ans when he was found he said he didn't require any assistance, even though he was going nowhere fast and had limited supplies of food and water on board (if you can call being in a dinghy 'on board').
He was brought back to dry land eventually, and treated for extreme sunburn, which he also clearly forgot to prepare for as well.
