While she was on her 'Madame X' tour in Paris
Urging her followers to not believe the "sensationalist headlines" claiming that she currently has coronavirus, Madonna took to social media to confirm that her contraction of the virus happened in the past tense.
Taking to Instagram to highlight her donation into vaccine research, the 'Material Girl' singer confirmed that she is all better since contracting the virus. It turns out that Madonna had coronavirus seven weeks ago, as well as her crew, when they were in Paris on her 'Madame X' world tour. The final dates of the tour were cut short due to, well, everything.
Uploading a screenshot of a news story in which it says she contributed $1.1 million towards research, 61-year-old Madonna wrote: "And just to clear things up for people who would rather believe sensationalist headlines than do their own research about the nature of this virus — I am not currently sick.
"When you test positive for anti-bodies it means you HAD the virus which I. clearly did as I was sick at the end of my tour in Paris over 7 weeks ago along with many other artists in my show but at the time.
"We all thought we had a very bad flu. Thank God we are all healthy and well now. Hope that clears things up for the bandwagon jumpers!! Knowledge is Power!"
To help pass the time these days, Madonna has been creating a "Quarantine Diary", making full use of her video-editing and writing skills of late.
