Lindsay is due in court today (8.00am L.A. time. One can assume she'll be late) before Judge Elden Fox for failing her drugs test and apparently several things are on the cards.
Firstly, TMZ reports that Judge Fox is "planning to remand Lindsay in custody and keep her in jail for 30 days until her next hearing. Reportedly, this means she wouldn’t get released early or get out of it due to overcrowding."
However, The Mirror continue: "People who know more about legal shiz than we do are claiming that if the judge does decide to do this, he has to set bail. And, presumably, Lindsay’s people will whip out a wad of notes and pay the bail bond there and then. Thus leaving the Lohan to walk free. Well, until next month's court hearing."
If you're gunning for someone to be sent daaahn later on this afternoon, you probably won't be disappointed, for Dina Lohan is planning on getting Michael Lohan arrested if he turns up to the courthouse: "Sources close to Dina - who has a criminal protective order against her ex-hubby - tell TMZ Dina is bringing the protective order to court and if Michael dares to pop his head in, 'There's gonna be a situation.'" How very helpful and not at all scarring for their children (Ali and Michael Jr. that is, they've clearly broken Lindsay already).
As reported in Rumours yesterday, however, Michael does intend to attend - and he's bringing an Evangelical preacher with him. Cause that's just being press savvy.
Speaking of which, he sould really impart some of that media discernment to Lindsay, it could be the one useful thing he's ever done for her. As it stands, Lindsay is relying on her mates, her assistant, and Jack Daniels to help draft her "apology" Tweets...
Us Weekly reports: "a witness saw the star craft her statement that night on her Blackberry at Hollywood eatery Magnolia - and tells the new Us Weekly that a flippant Lohan laughed and quaffed Jack and Cokes as she typed. Lohan composed her missive as her assistant and a male pal coached her on how to make it 'more personal,' the witness recounts. 'Her friend would say, "No, use 'setback,' don't say 'mistake.' They'll say you make mistakes all the time!' The friend went on, 'It's better to say you're responsible. Denying it will just get everyone mad per usual.' Lohan's response: 'She giggled' and had her assistant order her another Jack and Coke."
