The hoi polloi of Los Angeles threw on their glad rags on Saturday to attend the... let me get this right... the Opening Gala and unmasking of the Resnick Pavilion at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art... goody.
Such was the level of excitement, what with it being something cerebral, those invited went a little overboard. Nicole Richie overdid the frills and ribbons; Teri Hatcher overdid the botox; Nikki Hilton the transparency; Christina Aguilera the tan/makeup/hair; while Kim Kardashain failed to give her erogenous zones the night off (so tired is she of being labelled talentless, she's been teaching various body parts to knot things. Legend has it she's been practising with the aid pf maraschino cherries).
With the exception of Olivia 'Jawline' Wilde, Molly Sims and Kenny Babyface Edmonds; there were of course those who you would expect to turn up to an art museum soiree - like James Franco, Joan Collins, Tom Hanksand Rita Wilson.
