So that was money well spent… What did the wedding come to again? $10million, or something? It’s not like the Kardashians to be wasteful.
Soon-to-be-single Kim Kardashian has revealed that deciding to end her marriage was not easy, as she had hoped it would last "forever". The 31-year-old, who announced that she is filing for divorce from husband Kris Humphries just 72 days after tying the knot in a lavish televised ceremony, has spoken out about the “shock split”… Gossip sorts stateside have been fed lines such as “Kris is messier than before we were married” and “Kris kan be quite kutting to Kim’s sisters” have been bandied about the last few weeks, so it’s hardly a “shock split”, more of a “predictable story arc for one of her many reality TV shows.”
In a statement to E!, the channel that spawned her, Kardashian - who is citing "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the marriage breakdown - said: "After careful consideration, I have decided to end my marriage. I hope everyone understands this was not an easy decision. I had hoped this marriage was forever, but sometimes things do not work out as planned. We remain friends and wish each other the best." After three whole months of “’til death do us part.”
Humphries, meanwhile, has insisted that he will do 'whatever it takes' to make his marriage work. He’s even gone to the bother of releasing this statement: "I love my wife and am devastated to learn she filed for divorce. I'm committed to this marriage and everything this covenant represents, and I'm willing to do whatever it takes to make it work."
Wow, there he is banging on about "covenants" and the like. Ryan Seacrest must not have informed him the whole thing was just a hoax for ratings. Poor lamb.
