Professional gabbers Kevin Smith and Ralph Garman will bring their Hollywood Babble-On podcast to Dublin for a live recording in Vicar Street on 28th June. Tickets priced €39.05 (including booking fee) go on sale this Friday, 14th March.
Smith AKA Silent Bob, of course, is best known for his movie career, having written and directed a cult movies Clerks, Chasing Amy, Dogma and Red State and, unfortunately for all concerned, Jersey Girl. Ralph Garman, on the other hand, is a regular feature on Los Angeles' #1 rated morning radio show The Kevin and Bean Show and a regular voice actor on the likes of Family Guy and American Dad.
The pairs Hollywood Babble-On series is regarded by most as one of the finest entertainment podcasts around, having recently won the Best Entertainment and Pop Culture Podcast title at the recent Stitcher Podcast Awards. Their show is a completely unscripted affair, where the duo shoot the shit about the week's movie and entertainment news - and pull absolutely no punches while doing so!
Kevin Smith is well-known for his public speaking prowess, having released a series of 'An Evening with Kevin Smith' DVDs over the years. He was last in Dublin in 2011 for a podcast recording with his frequent co-collaborator Jason Mewes (Jay to you and me) and had those in attendance in regular fits of the giggles. This one can't be missed.
Oh, and as a sample of things to come check out Smith's hilarious recanting of when he was hired to work on a movie with Prince.
