By rights we should indeed have a photo of a happy Jessie J, bulging her eyes and sticking her tongue at last night's BT Digital Media Awards, but that's hard to come across with as she wasn't there. Well, she wasn't on the pink carpet lovingly laid out for the event so we can only assume she wasn't there. She did appear on Daybreak this morning at 6.57am to make James Morrison laugh, so maybe she self-imposed an early night for those duties.
That aside, the 23-year-old singer triumphed at the ceremony in London last night, taking home the prizes for Best Female Artist, Best Song and Best Newcomer. She later tweeted: "Wow wow wow! Im dancing around! Btdma ive just won #bestnewcomer amd #bestfemale im so happpyyyy!!!! Thank you #heartbeats for your support."
JLS (no sign of them either) picked up two awards, winning Best Group and Best Video for Eyes Wide Shut, at the event at London's Roundhouse venue. Other winners on the night included Adele (also a no show), who landed the Best Independent Artist Prize, Breakthrough Artist of the Year went to Ed Sheeran (he managed to turn up) and Bruno Mars (and nope) was named Best International Artist.
Those who chose to turn up for whatever reasons include Nicola Roberts, Kaiser Cheifs, Charlie off Busted, Kate 'I did want to be a serious business women, swear' Walsh, Harry's ex Florence Brundleblah, cause' this is what she does now, this subtle sort, Caroline Flack, Olly Murs, eh, Natash Hamilton and... Nikki Grahame?
