Janet Jackson has reportedly got engaged, and while it's new news to us, apparently it's not to her. The 46-year-old apparently accepted billionaire boyfriend Wissam Al Mana's proposal earlier this year and the 'smitten' couple are set to tie the knot in a lavish ceremony in Qatar next year. Why they kept it a secret until now is anyone's guess, but props to Janet for sorting herself out for the rest of her life, Al Mana has a net worth of over $1 billion and is MD of a luxury retail company in the Middle East.
According to Us Weekly magazine, Wissam, 37, gave Janet 'a huge, expensive ring' but she keeps it locked up because 'she's afraid it will get lost'. i.e., pinched by LaToya. And you can prep yourself for a sickeningly decadent wedding, as Wissam is willing to spend 'millions' and is flying all of Janet's friends and family in from America on private jets. He also wants to fly in a top chef to cater the entire thing. Get the CV ready Gordon Ramsay.
Janet has been married twice before, once to R&B singer James DeBarge and the other time to music video director Rene Elizondo, and had an on/off seven-year relationship with record producer Jermaine Dupri, so here's hoping she gets a happily ever after out of this. God knows someone in the Jackson family deserves one.
