"I feel so Zen about the whole thing."
The late-night host sat down with The New York Times about his forthcoming Prime Video series when the topic arose.
James Corden has broken his silence on the restaurant drama from earlier this week, saying that he hasn't done anything wrong "on any level".
In case you missed it earlier in the week, the actor and late-night show host was cast into the spotlight by a reputable NYC restaurant owner Keith McNally, who painted a pretty scathing look at how Corden has acted in his establishments in the past. McNally issued a ban on him from entering his eateries.
Citing two separate occasions of James Corden eating in his restaurants, the first entry said that he was "extremely nasty" to the staff and demanded a free round of drinks, while the second memorable time saw him shout abuse at the server following a mix-up with his wife's omelette order, which left them "very shaken".
McNally later published another post, saying he rescinded his ban on Corden after he called him up to apologise "profusely". However, it was all too later for the internet, and everyone began jumping on the banning bandwagon - which was pretty hilarious.
Now, while promoting his upcoming series 'Mammals' on Prime Video with NYT, the topic turned to this week's restaurant happenings. Even though McNally stated that Corden has already apologised to him, in this interview, the host believes he is not in the wrong.
He told the publication: "I haven't done anything wrong, on any level. So why would I ever cancel this [interview]? I was there. I get it. I feel so Zen about the whole thing. Because I think it's so silly.
"I just think it's beneath all of us. It's beneath you. It's certainly beneath your publication."
The interview was taking place at a New York restaurant, and funnily enough, during the conversation, a customer at a nearby table sent back their order of eggs. Corden watched this unfold, adding: "Can you imagine now, if we just blasted her on Twitter? Would that be fair?"
"This is my point. It's insane," Corden said.
Croden stars in 'Mammals' from November 11. Sally Hawkins and Colin Morgan also star in the drama series.
