We're making jokes with Sean Spicer now, apparently. Yes, very good.
James Corden was papped by Variety's Instagram account cosying up to former Trump henchman / press secretary Sean Spicer with a big kiss. Spicer himself looked like he was set to appear in a recreation of Manic Street Preachers' seminal music video from 1998, If You Tolerate This (Then Your Children Will Be Next).
Here's the photo. That noise you're hearing is the sound of Corden's career being flushed down the toilet.
So, shortly after the photo began to make the rounds, Corden - or his publicist, probably- were quizzed on the topic by the New York Times. His response? Make a joke of it. A bad one, incidentally. "Now, I know you think that’s a picture of me kissing Sean Spicer, but in the spirit of Sean Spicer, no, it isn’t."
Ha. Ha ha.
"Anyone ever have that feeling when you get a little drunk and then wake up the next morning and think, ‘Oh, God, who did I kiss last night?’ It’s a bit like that... To be fair, everyone was kissing ass last night, I just happened to kiss the biggest one there."
Ah-huh. Sure, James Corden. That makes sense.
