It's set to be a scorcher
In case you haven't noticed, it is very hot today and tomorrow is set to be much the same.
Temperatures are set to reach highs of 26 degrees in Dublin. So wear sun block, sunglasses and a hat if you're sensitive to the sun because no one likes a sunburn. Met Eireann reports a high UV index level as well so stay safe and all that.
There'll be an occasional southwest breeze but the general outlook for the day is dry with a mix of cloud and sunny spells.
Met Eireann reports that tonight will also be dry with lows of 14 or 15 degrees.
Tomorrow is another hot, dry day with similar temperatures to today of 24 or 25 degrees highs and light to moderate southeasterly breezes.
It's also set to be humid today and tomorrow with a high pollen forecast so those with hayfever, be warned.
You might want to get your sunny weather plans in tonight as it's all set to change from Tuesday evening.
Met Eireann reports that showers will spread up from the southeast on Tuesday night. As a result there's a threat of some thundery downpours in the east and north and outbreaks of rain affect the southwest and west. Lowest temperatures will be around 14 to 17 degrees.
Then on Wednesday, there will be occasional sunny spells but a mostly cloudy day, with scattered light showers, particularly in Connacht and Munster. It'll be getting cooler too with temperatures of 19 to 22 degrees. Showers are likely to spread across the country on Wednesday night and come Thursday there's more forecast for rain and heavy downpours, especially in the west.
Friday's forecast is something of an improvement with sunny spells and scattered showers. But with temperatures then of 17 to 21 degrees, there's no doubt that we'll have to seize the sun now while we can.
