Facebook seems to be undergoing a temporary fault in some parts of Europe, with many users reporting a 'total blackout' and the site's homepage refusing to load.
Indeed, that's the case for us - the page just brings us to a blank 'This site can't be reached' error message and Downrightnow confirms that there's a widespread issue for some users.
Facebook is down. Can we make this permanent please? #FacebookIsDown pic.twitter.com/MIxb7FV3Pe

If you're experiencing issues and like us, aren't the most technically-minded, there's good news - it's easily fixable.
By doing a 'forced refresh' - holding down shift and clicking refresh - it brings the site back to life.
It's not a permanent solution, but it worked for us, anyway.
Now, go forth and procrastinate.
