Preparations are underway for a crunch game against Scotland this week in the Ireland training camp, but they were slightly interrupted with the news that management duo Roy Keane and Martin O'Neill had been involved in a car accident on the M50 last night.

Thankfully, everyone came out the other end of it ok, but it was a topic of conversation for the media and players at a press conference today after training, where Pearce confirmed that they did find out about it last night, and that they had shared a joke about it with the players. Very few people could have been prepared for the question that followed, however...

In fairness, we know what he was going for (would you like to be the one who hit Roy Keane's car?), but it sounded a lot different when it was spoken out loud. The reporter who asked the question has not yet been identified, but will surely be on the receiving end of some "banter" as a result.

Banter banter banter banter banter.Â
