GOOD. GOD.

Not only do the meatballs now have horse in them, but the almond cake that they sell was found to have traces of coliform bacteria in it which is found in soil and water. Oh and poo. Great stuff.

Now IKEA are saying that none of it ever went on sale, releasing the following statement: 'Traces of coliform bacteria have been found in two isolated production batches of almond cake with chocolate and butterscotch, produced for the restaurant, from one supplier in Sweden. There is no health risk associated with consuming this product. The production batches have, as per safety and quality routines, been tested for bacteria that can cause health issues, such as E.coli, and none of these pathogen bacteria have been found. However, since the product does not comply with our strict food quality standards we have decided to withdraw the concerned production batches from sale in the 23 affected countries. The UK and Ireland are not affected'.

At this stage it's safe to say that you should either just not read the news and live in blissful ignorance, or start growing and eating only your own food. It's the only option that can keep you sane.
