Good evening Ireland, and that’s an order. Jameson and entertainment.ie have teamed up in pursuit of the possibilities for a great night out. So if you have no plans, read on...

Forget about this unusually mild Autumn, Summer is officially over, so you can’t just occupy yourself by leaving the house and sitting down somewhere, you actually have to do things to occupy your spare time.

Coincidentally, it’s also not quite time to save up for Christmas just yet, so you have a little extra cash, and time, to throw around before the cold dark weeks of Christmas preparation start.

We know you’re sick of sitting in at home all the time, and that you long to be out and about, so we’ve teamed up with Jameson to find some of the best events and festivals coming up in November, so you don’t have to do anything, well, apart from paying for, and going to them. Easy.

Dara O Briain "Crowd Tickler" at the INEC

We’re starting out with comedy here people, because after all who doesn’t love a good laugh? But sitting in front of the TV every Friday night watching celebs chat to each other gets a bit boring, so why not go out and watch a pro do it. And there’s few better at standing on a big stage and making you chuckle like the big Bray man, Dara O’Briain.

Performing at Vicar Street throughout the month, he’ll also be making the trip down to Kerry on the 7th and 8th as he plays the INEC for his only gigs outside the capital, so if you don’t fancy making the trek up to the pale, don’t miss his shows in the Kingdom.

Delorentos "Night Becomes Light" Tour

The indie four-piece are back with a brand new album, and an Irish tour to accompany it. Playing just about anywhere you could possibly want to see them, actually, here’s a list of where they’ll be playing, the night we’ve singled out is their gig on the 14th in Roisin Dubh.

A hotspot for all things music, and one of Ireland best venues, you don’t want to miss the lads play here, especially on this album. If you haven’t heard it yet, here’s the first single off the album 'Night Becomes Light'.

Robert Plant is in Town

Oh, it’s just that guy who used to front Led Zepplin, no big deal.

If that’s your reaction, leave, leave now. No, keep walking, and take your excuses with you.

Still here? Good. If you haven’t heard his new album "Lullaby and…The Ceaseless Roar" yet, go do it, because he’s bring it on tour to Ulster Hall on the 23rd before heading down to the Olympia Theatre for the 24th. It’s your chance to see a true rock God, who could turn that down?

Warning, if your face gets melted off, it’s your own fault.

The Dublin Burlesque Festival

Here’s something a bit different. The Dublin Burlesque Festival is running from the 6th to the 10th, and is Ireland best and original gathering of tease, tassels, feathers, fashion, frolics, and fun. If you’re a fan of alliteration, you’ll love this.

Something for everyone is a bit of a stretch, but, if like us, you saw Moulin Rouge and loved it, here’s more of the same. How often is there going to be a Burlesque fest on your front door, don’t miss it. We even have a list of the events here for you.

The Beatles Fest

If burlesque isn’t your thing, presumably you’re not a fan of dancing, cabaret music, women in fancy outfits, comedy, or fun, we’ve got something else for you.

No, but in all seriousness, the Dublin Beatles Festival is running at the same time, from the 7th to the 9th, and you can learn about the history of the band, go to an endless amount of gigs, join a Beatles themed table quiz, and even go to record fairs.

Make a weekend of it and try out both festivals, sure when else will you have a chance to mix the two styles.

Jimmy Carr "Family Business" at The Waterfront

While we’re in Belfast we may as well mention that comedic galactico Jimmy Carr is playing two dates this month. The 8 Out of 10 Cats host is playing two dates, the 14th and 16th, in what will be his only shows in the country for the rest of the year.

So, if you don’t fancy waiting months for him to come back, make the trip up Belfast for a great weekend. Or, if you’re lucky enough to live nearby, why aren’t you already going? Worst case scenario, you can tell people you were in the crowd when he made "that" joke.

Cork Film Festival

Are you all cultured and stuff? Think you’ve had enough of Michael Bay and his sort, or the thought of one more Jump Street reboot makes you feel a little nauseous, we’ve got the perfect film festival for you.

Running from the 7th to the 16th, you’ve little excuse to not make yourself free for just one day. Here’s a list of events a mile long, so there’s definitely something for you.

Enjoy that, I’m off to watch a Seth Rogen marathon, #CultureVulture.
