Before we begin, we'd like to point out that we are not in possession of a Nando's Black Card.
That being said, after writing this, we would definitely like one.
The Black Card has become the preserve of celebrities, a status symbol for the elite. But what's actually involved with it and what does it do?
Contrary to popular belief, the Nando's Black Card does NOT grant you free food for life. Quite the opposite, in fact.
Their Black Card is valid for one year and entitles you to free food and drink for you and a maximum of five people. However, and this point is worth noting, there is NO alcohol included on the Black Card.
Which we thought was a bit scabby. What's the pointing in having free chicken if you can't enjoy a beer with it? EH?
Nando's have stated repeatedly that anyone who's requested a Black Card doesn't get one, calling the act 'taboo' and a definite no-no.
But, let's be honest here - if you were famous enough to warrant getting a Black Card from Nando's, would you even want to eat there?
Ed Sheeran, however, is a fan as is Example. So, y'know, there's that.
