Last night saw some glamour hit London as the 2010 Harper's Bazaar Women Of The Year Awards took place. The list of winners are below for you to agree, or disagree with but more importantly, let's dissect who wore what.
Let's begin with Emma Thompson. I'm a huge fan of hers and here she is looking pretty darn fantastic. She's 51 y'know, you wouldn't think it. She clearly had a great night and delighted with her award, what with that roaring smile she's got plastered on her face . I'm wondering what happened here though, whoopsies. Leg cramp, or a wee slip on the steps? Not sure she knows either. The genius and creator of the world's most beautiful shoes, the one, the only Manolo Blahnik was there too. That man deserves a Nobel peace prize. Even his dickybow is adorable. Quite a handsome man, if it's not weird to say that.
Annie Lennox went for the casual ensemble and chose to spread a message while she was at it. Fair enough. Model Yasmin Le Bon thought it was a beauty pageant and she was one of the contestants. Philanthropist Natalia Vodiaova went for the simmering gold look...meh. Sam Taylor Wood and her life partner / lover/ father of her sprog/ toy boy Aarron Johnson took time out of their busy schedule to head along. Bet they were happy too when the director walked away the award for Renaissance Woman of the Year. That is particularly funny since her relationship with the young actor has come under a lot of criticism due to the age gap. Not sure that would make her feel younger either. But then again, Renaissance does stand for rebirth and all that jazz. Others who attendee were Zaha Hadid, who should invest some of her cash in hiring a stylist and you can also have a look at a frumpy Kay Burley and Charlotte Tilbury. She (according to Google) is the world's leading make-up artist.
