The 'Full House' actress served two months in prison

'Full House' actress Lori Loughlin has been released from prison. She served nearly two months for her role in the infamous college admissions scandal of 2019.

Lori Loughlin admitted to paying half a million dollars in bribes to get her two daughters into college.

She was released from a federal correctional facility in Dublin, California, earlier today. She must complete her community service in order to fulfill the final portion of her sentence.

Back in May, the actress pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit wire and mail fraud.

Her husband, fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli, pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit wire and mail fraud and one count of honest services wire and mail fraud.

Giannulli is serving his five-month sentence at a prison in Lompoc near Santa Barbara, California. He is due to be released in April.

Loughlin and Giannulli confessed to paying $500,000 to get their two daughters Olivia Jade Giannulli, age 20, and Isabella Rose Giannulli, who is 21, into the University of Southern California as crew recruits, even though neither of their children were rowers.

The couple were some of the big names to emerge from a scandal that alleged that sixty or so parents bribed prestigious universities to get their children accepted into them. Actress Felicity Huffman was another high profile name involved in the case.

About a dozen of the accused are still fighting the allegations. Sentences for the parents who have pleaded so far in the case range from two weeks to nine months.
