Losing something precious on an exciting night out has happened to most of us sure.
Frances McDormand won her second ever Oscar gong last night for her performance in Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri. The actress gave a rousing speech which was one of the highlights of the night but the evening later took an unlucky turn.
In all the excitement of the night, the actress accidentally lost the golden award at the the post-Oscars Governors Ball party.
McDormand was seen 'crying emotionally' outside the venue after calling it quits on the search. She was also spotted frantically searching for it alongside her husband, filmmaker Joel Coen.
The couple had no luck finding it and decided to leave the ball. Fortunately, security were later dispatched to look for the accolade, which had her name engraved on it (Oscars are engraved at the Governors Ball). They ultimately found it.
A representative for Frances called Simon Halls told USA TODAY: “Fran and Oscar are happily reunited and are enjoying an In-N-Out burger together.”
*breathes sigh of relief*
