Since hanging up his gloves a few months ago, Tim Wiese has hit the gym, and that hasn't gone unnoticed by the folks at the world's biggest wrestling organisation, the WWE.

In January, Tim Wiese was released by his club Hoffenheim, where he'd moved from Werder Bremen in 2012 to in order to play for a team that could make it in to the Champions League. For some reason, his career really hit the skids there, and he found himself unemployed at the start of 2014.

He wasn't going to let that get him down, however, as he decided to take on a serious eating regime and hit the gym regularly (clearly) to transform his body, and is a fully-fledged body builder. Obviously, he was never in bad shape given that he was a professional athlete, but the short amount of time it took to go from that to the size that he is now is fairly impressive.

That hasn't gone unnoticed it would seem as he told German newspaper Bild that he has been approached about possibly joining the world famous wrestling company, the WWE: "I have an official enquiry from the WWE. It’s about working for them as a wrestler. I will listen. I don’t shit my pants. Why should I immediately say no? Wrestling is very popular, especially in the [United] States. I will go through the enquiry with my agent next week."

It is believed that they could be looking to bring him in as they have big plans for the German market, and Wiese would be a great name to hang the marketing campaign on. The WWE is now being broadcast on free-to-air channels in the country for the first time in over a decade, but Wiese would need to spend a bit of time training before he could make the leap from the penalty box to the squared circle.

However, given the dedication and commitment he's clearly already shown, there's no doubting that he'd make a bloody good go of it, and seeing as he now tips the scales at 115kg (just over 18st), we're not going to be the ones to tell him no.
