The Budweiser Dream Job is back for a second year, and once again is offering one lucky person the chance to make their Monday mornings totally different, gby giving them their dream job for a year.
That prize is pretty nifty enough, but it also includes a €40,000 cash prize, a €5,000 equipment bursary, an internship placement and support from relevant experts to get you some quality experience.
Liam Cunningham, a veteran star of stage and screen who featured in Game of Thrones, along with world renowned Irish DJ/producer Gavin Lynch a.k.a. Matador and singer and TV presenter, Leanne Moore all launched the campaign, and are looking for people who can prove that they have a real passion for their dream job.
If you want to enter, you need to be over 18 years of age and head to the Budweiser Ireland Facebook page to let the judges know what your passion is. You can already start sending in your applications, and the process will be open until 4th February, 2015.
Once they have all the entries, the judges will review all applications before narrowing it down to five Dream Job finalists. The chosen finalists will each create a short film with the help of Budweiser to promote their aspirational dream careers in an effort to win the grand prize. The videos will be live on the Budweiser Ireland Facebook page where the public will ultimately decide on the overall winner by voting on the person that most inspires them.
Speaking at the launch, Cunningham said that he knows how difficult it is to chase that dream: "Most people don’t have the resources or time to really go after their dream career. It can certainly be a bumpy road to success but this is a real opportunity to fast track to the career you’ve always dreamt of. We are looking for people that can show us passion and serious intent to succeed."
So, what do you want to do for the rest of your life?
