He's not left wanting in the God Complex department, so 'Doctor' was the natural response whenever his daughter Eve was asked what daddy did for a living.

22-year-old Eve, who is currently starring in Steven Soderbergh's TV drama The Knick, had to say to the Independent of her time in school:

"In school, whenever we had to write those letters where you say, ‘Hi, my name's Eve and my dad does this...' I always used to lie and say that my dad was a doctor. It just saves conversation. People always find out eventually." Yeah, no doctor could perform surgery with those sunglasses on, bit of a giveaway.

The Independent.ie also reports that Bono and Ali weren't exactly keen when Eve revealed she wanted to become an actress: "For a young female, especially, it's excruciating. The rejection is awful, the competition is terrifying and you're constantly up and down,” she said. “My parents knew that, because they know actors and they know that world, so when I decided this was what I wanted to do, they were like ‘no, no, no, please no!' I had to really fight for it."

And she's still fighting for it by the looks of things. Apparently herself and Denis Quaid's son, Jack, have been busy fundraising to make a movie by the name of Roadies. They need to raise just over 5,000 to help make the dark coming-of-age comedy and, according to the Indo's article, are "trading tweets, thank you cards, tickets to the film's premiere and movie credits for anyone who donates."

You can say what you like about Bono, but you'll probably never see his kids falling out of anywhere, shoplifting anything, getting married-divorced-married, or generally making a nuisance of themselves. And that speaks volumes.
