England may be through to the semi-finals of the World Cup for the first time in 28 years, but it seems that the behaviour of some of their fans leaves a lot to be desired.
Following their 2-0 win over Sweden on Saturday, a group of fans entered a branch of IKEA in Stratford, west London, and basically trashed part of the showroom singing 'It's coming home' as staff looked on helplessly.

Although their antics were deemed bemusing by IKEA's official account - who said that they were offering fish & chips for £1 in celebration of the victory - not everyone felt the same....
We are aware of a small group of fans celebrating the match result in one of our stores. Being both British and Swedish, we were on the edge of our seats during the game and we would like to say ‘grattis!’

(that’s congratulations in Swedish) to the England team for getting through to the semi-finals. In celebration, we’ve put one of the nation’s favourite dishes, fish and chips, on offer for just £1.

Seen the people defending it + who can't see any problem?
That's almost as worrying to me! The idea of swathes of people who think this is perfectly acceptable.
Meanwhile IKEA congratulated England and are doing a celebratory £1 fish & chips deal tomorrow.
We should be ashamed.— Drew White (@drewsonix) July 7, 2018
Spoiler alert if you're trashing an IKEA in England the chances are the staff who have to clean up your mess are not Swedish... Toxic masculinity ruining sport for everyone since forever

That’s how you celebrate reaching a World Cup Semi Final England fans. Not by pouring beer over each other and thrashing IKEA https://t.co/s4BNzLfHRc

Sweden will seek revenge on England by removing the assembly instructions from all Ikea products.

The England 'fans' who messed up IKEA & broke that ambulance should be identified & summoned to their local police stations for a stern talking to at 7pm on Wednesday.

If you trash cars to celebrate England's success you're a twat, if you trash IKEA it's not banter you're a twat and if you think either are excusable just because we won then you are also a twat.
