This will save a lot of New Yorkers a trip to Dublin
In case you missed it, a 'portal' has been set up on Dublin's O'Connell St to New York City. Why? Why the hell not!
Well, it's actually part of a pretty groundbreaking art project so we will give it its kudos. Most importantly it's providing a lot of entertainment, on the internet and beyond.
'The Portal' art installation has a 24/7 live stream of New York City on Dublin's sculpture and vice versa on its New York piece allowing for real-time interaction. It aims to unite citizens on either side of the Atlantic but mainly so your mate Jason can show his arse to unsuspecting New Yorkers.
So far we have done everything you might expect with something like this, as you can see below.
Besides random arses and terrible dancing, there will be a scheduled programme of events taking place with cultural performances at each city's portal.
The Portal will be here until the autumn so plenty of time for you to get yourself down to O'Connell St and wave at an honest-to-God New Yorker. Or your mate that is on their J1.
