Dublin Bus have announced that they are in the process of considering an all-night Nitelink service.
If the plan is approved, Dublin Bus will run its popular Nitelink service throughout the city and suburbs through until the early hours of the morning.
The proposal, which is one of several being put before the Labour Relations Commission, has had some opposition from drivers who say that the plan will affect their terms and conditions.
Unions have warned that they are prepared to take industrial action if Dublin acts on the plan unilaterally.
Privatisation of certain routes - 10%, to be precise - has also been mooted at the LRC and has met with strong opposition from union leaders.
