The 'Drake and Bell' star was in trial regarding an incident involving a teenage girl
Drake Bell (legal name Jared Bell) pleaded guilty via zoom on Wednesday to a felony charge of attempting to endanger children and a misdemeanor charge of disseminating material harmful to juveniles.
The accusations came from a incident in Ohio involving a teenage girl that occurred three and a half years ago.
Sentencing for Bell, best-known for his role in the Nickelodeon series 'Drake & Josh', was set for July 12th.
The charges against Bell stem from a meeting in December 2017 between the actor-singer and a 15 year old girl. The teenager and Bell had known one another for several years.
Drake Bell was 31 years old at the time of the meeting and in Cleveland to perform a concert.
Police have not specified what occurred at the club. They did say that the meeting followed months of inappropriate social media messages.
The girl subsequently filed a police report in Canada. Canadian authorities reportedly then contacted Cleveland police.
Drake Bell could receive a prison sentence of up to 18 months for the felony charge, and be fined up to $5000.
For the misdemeanor charge, Bell could be sentenced for up to six months in county jail and fined up to $1000.
