You know that new lady Dragon, the one who looks like a dinosaur dressed as Joan Collins impersonating Jackie Collins being eaten by a wig? Well, as it turns out, she's not nearly as scary as her profile picture... or her husband for that matter. It's being reported this morning that 54-year-old Hilary Devey's husband of five months, Phil Childs, likes chowing down on the odd proboscis when the occasion arises. How very lah-do-dah.
The Sun reports: "Former pub boss Phil Childs, 45, launched what a judge described as an 'unprovoked, savage and brutal' attack. Childs - who married Hilary, 53, in March - is said to have taken exception to Carl Wilson wearing a replica Celtic football shirt in his boozer. The tip of Carl's nose was chewed off and later found under a hedge near The Station pub which Childs ran in Rugeley, Staffs. Docs tried unsuccessfully to sew it back on and Carl, 35, needed plastic surgery. Childs, who had drunk eight pints, pleaded not guilty to grievous bodily harm but was convicted by a jury at Stafford Crown Court and jailed for nine months in 2004. He now lives with Dragons' Den star Hilary in a mansion near Burton upon Trent."
When questioned about the incident by The Sun, 45-year-old Childs responded with: "I lost my cool and really hurt the man (understatement). Hilary was aware when she married me."
Hilary may be worth £100million, but she clearly still has a penchant for a birrah ruff. With cannibalistic tendencies. And a love of Celtic. How bad.
