Dr. McGraw is still feeling the backlash from flapping his yapper about his "visit" with Britney. But has he learned from it? Perhaps... but not nearly enough. For starters, he's still talking about it on his TV show. During a taping last Thursday, Dr. Phil said to his audience: "Was it helpful to the situation? Regrettably, no. It was not, and I have to acknowledge that and I do... I definitely think if I had it to do over again, I probably wouldn't make any statement at all. Period." According to USA Today: "He disputes those who say he inappropriately discussed her condition in the statement, which referred to Spears being 'in dire need of both medical and psychological intervention' by declaring 'I said that before I ever met her'." A mental health professional making public assumptions about a person's state of mind without even meeting the person in question. Surely the good doctor isn't admitting to that also?
