Yes, that Ellen DeGeneres. The one with the TV show where celebrities are scared witless by someone hiding under the desk.
Eric Trump, son of Donald Trump, posted a tweet earlier today in which he described Twitter's follow suggestions as part of a conspiracy that will ultimately lead to the downfall of the US government and the collapse of Western democracy as we know it - or, y'know, not.
Here's the tweet in question, if you think we're taking the piss here.
Shocking... once again, here are the @Twitter “suggestions” of who I should follow. #DeepState pic.twitter.com/6XYUS02j34

Just for clarity's sake, the Wikipedia article of "Deep state in the United States" defines it as "an alleged entity that coordinates efforts by government employees and others to influence state policy without regard for democratically elected leadership." Ellen DeGeneres is, admittedly, friendly with Hillary Clinton and was named as special envoy for global AIDS awareness in 2011 when Clinton served as Secretary Of State.
Also, Twitter's follow suggestions often throw up accounts that you often interact with or tweet about, so it's really no surprise that these three accounts came up for Eric Trump.
But, y'know, that's just too simple and logical for Eric Trump. That's what the deep-staters want you to think. WAKE UP, SHEEPLE.
