As well as Barbra Streisand calling out gender inequality in the HFPA's voting record, Natalie Portman dragging the HFPA for making the Best Director nominees all-male, you also had the media covering the Golden Globes being called out as well.

Debra Messing, Eva Longoria and Laura Dern all made specific reference to E!'s pay-gap controversy, which saw longtime reporter Catt Sadler exit the television channel over claims that she wasn't being paid equally to her male counterparts. All of this, by the way, was done on E! and in front of the very people that Catt Sadler was calling out.

Yeah.

Debra Messing made specific reference to Sadler's situation, saying, "I was so shocked to hear that E! doesn’t believe in paying their female co-hosts the same as their male co-hosts. I miss Catt Sadler, and we stand with her... (and) that’s something that can change tomorrow. We want people to start having this conversation that women are just as valuable as men."

Laura Dern, meanwhile, called out "the powers that be and all the industries and networks and E! to help us with closing this pay gender gap,” whilst Sarah Jessica Parker referenced how pay inequality has "affected your network," to Ryan Seacrest. Eva Longoria, meanwhile, said she supports gender equity and hopes that "E! follows that lead with Catt as well," again all while on E!.
