A new tape has surfaced of Kanye West ranting after the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, you know, the one with the 'Imma let you finish' Taylor Swift moment?
In case you need a refresher, Yeezy famously interrupted Taylor Swift as she gave her acceptance speech for Best Video for 'You Belong With Me' at the event, with a speech on why he felt Beyoncé should have won.
A recording has now emerged in which Kanye bizarrely seems to explains his actions were because he spent time re-writing his verse in Jay-Z and Rihanna collaboration 'Run This Town', which was released earlier that year.
According to Gawker, Kanye says: 'I wrote my f***ing 'Run This Town' verse for a f***ing month! When I heard Eminem's verse on the Drake s**t, I went back and rewrote my s**t for two days. I cancelled appointments to rewrite! I f***ing care! You know what I'm saying? And that's what I'm saying. Because I did that, Taylor Swift cannot win over Beyoncé!'
Kanye was so outraged he even suggests in the tape he couldn't bare to be alive because Taylor won.
He added: 'Because I wrote my verse in two days, Taylor Swift cannot beat Beyoncé. As long as I'm alive! And if I'm alive, kill me then! Kill me then! As long as I'm alive, you are going to have to deal with it.'
Kanye was also fuming because he didn't get to perform his single 'Heartless' whereas Pink got to showcase two songs at the ceremony.
He added: 'What the f**k was Pink performing? Don't nobody know that song. Pink performed twice! Two songs? How the f**k Pink perform two songs and I didn't even get asked to perform 'Heartless'. 'Heartless' is the biggest song of the year.'
Head to Gawker to hear the thing in full-ish, as well as get a whole transcription. It really is a worthy read.
