The next fight on the horizon for Conor McGregor is the much-anticipated match up against Jose Aldo, and it's looking like it could be headed for a massive venue.
The fight was hyped beyond all belief before the Brazilian was forced to pull out through injury, and while many thought that the fight wouldn't take place until 2016, a new report from Kevin Iole at Cagewriter has detailed how it may in fact take place earlier than expected.
Iole reports that the fight could be as early as December 5th of this year, and with the record 16,019 fans that crammed in to see McGregor fight Mendes, the UFC are expecting an even bigger crowd when the real title is up for grabs. Since there's a concert booked at the MGM Grand, Dana White stated that the company would be open to going to Cowboys Satdium in Dallas for what could be a huge event.
The stadium holds 100,000 people, and while it would be configured differently so that it would hold less, Manny Pacquiao managed to bring in a crowd of roughly 45,000 for his fights there in 2010. The UFC would need to bring in a similar number to make the fight at AT&T stadium worth it, and there's no doubting that McGregor is now one of the biggest superstars in the business, and this could be the fight that would fill the stadium.
