"I've always been portrayed as the strong clap back girl but I'm just not."
The television star has deleted her Twitter account due to being left "deeply bruised" by the social media platform.
Chrissy Teigen has called it quits on Twitter. The model and television personality has cited it being "time to say goodbye" after 10 years of being a regular user.
Before her profile went dark, however, she uploaded a lengthy post detailing why she will no longer be using the website.
She wrote: "Hey. For over 10 years, you guys have been my world. I honestly owe so much to this world we have created here. I truly consider so many of you my actual friends.
"But it's time for me to say goodbye. This no longer serves me as positively as it serves me negatively, and I think that's the right time to call something.
"My life goal is to make people happy. The pain I feel when I don't is too much for me. I've always been portrayed as the strong clap back girl but I'm just not.

"Live well, tweeters. Please know all I ever cared about was you."

The past year for Chrissy Teigen, like all of us, has been difficult. Last year she uploaded an emotional post to her Instagram account, revealing that she had suffered a miscarriage with husband John Legend.
Teigen will be missed from Twitter, as she was always able to provide a witty remark. She even managed to be blocked by former US president Donald Trump.
