We know that the Super Bowl is the Seahawks vs. the Patriots, but not many people will know that it's actually a battle between Star-Lord and Captain America.
No, we're not making a reference to two last minute free-agent signings by the teams, but rather to the fact that there is a friendly wager going on between two of Hollywood's biggest superheroes, Chris Evans and Chris Pratt, who support the New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks respectively.
The wager was placed on Twitter, where all legally binding agreements take place, and started out with some friendly jibes about who will win the ultimate prize on February 1st.
@ChrisEvans We both know there's only one Captain America and his name is Russell Wilson. #SuperBowlBound #LOB #Repeat

@prattprattpratt them's fightin words. Stakes? #whatisaseahawkanyway #somethingtombradyhunts
— Chris Evans (@ChrisEvans) January 19, 2015
With the bet on, the two then agreed the stakes which hang in the balance for both of them should their team not be victorious on the night.
@ChrisEvans OK. Seahawks win you fly yourself to Seattle, visit @seattlechildren hospital as Captain America, waving the 12th man flag.— chris pratt (@prattprattpratt) January 21, 2015
@prattprattpratt I accept. And when the Patriots humiliate your seachickens, I expect Star-Lord to arrive at @chris_haven in a Brady jersey
— Chris Evans (@ChrisEvans) January 21, 2015
The two places mentioned in the tweets are Seattle Children's Hospital and Christopher's Haven, which provides care and housing to children suffering from cancer and their families, so no matter the outcome there's going to be one seriously happy bunch of kids when they get to meet Captain America or Star-Lord shortly after the Super Bowl. That said, something tells us that these two guys might just go ahead and visit both places anyway, because they're fairly sound.
