Clearly inspired by Snoop Doggs transition to Snoop Lion, a Chinese zoo has been busted for trying to pass a Tibetan Mastiff off as their resident lion.

The zoo in the People's Park of Luohe in the province of Henan stuck the hairy pooch into their 'African lion' cage and hoped to fool visitors, which allegedly worked for a short while until the dog started barking instead of, you know, roaring.

According to the zoo, they do actually have a lion but that it's currently in a separate area as they are trying to get it to breed. However, visitors to the zoo were outraged as this isn't the only illusion the zoo are trying to pull off, as there were two coypu rodents in a snake's cage, a white fox in a leopard's den, and another dog in a wolf pen.

'The zoo is absolutely cheating us,' said a visitor who was charged 15 yuan ($2.45) for the ticket. 'They are trying to disguise the dogs as lions.' Well at least this one's bark is worse than its bite.
