It's not often that we spare some time for The Dion - unless it's to talk about her Eurovision teeth - but it's not every day someone famous has a stranger draw a bath for them. Actually, that probably happens a lot, but an uninvited stranger is a different manner.

An alleged intruder has been caught running a bath at Celine Dion’s Canadian mansion. According to police, the 36-year-old man had already had a snack, made notes on Post Its in the office, and had a cigarette before he was found on the stairs at the singer's home on the Milles Iles River on Monday afternoon.

"He said to the officers 'What are you doing here?' and they asked him the same thing back," Laval police spokesperson Nathalie Laurin told the Montreal Gazette. Neither Celine nor her husband René Angélil was home at the time. The man was found after a security guard spotted an open garage door and called 911. A subsequent search with a sniffer dog turned up snack-cake wrappers in the kitchen, cigarette butts and notes in the office on the main floor, and then finally the man who claimed to be a family friend.

"It's rare that you see this, there was no theft, nothing stolen, broken or messed up," Laurin said. "This whole thing, well it's special." Or just plain creepy. And a bit intrusive. And shouldn't be referred to as something 'special' by a police spokesperson.

The man was arrested and taken to hospital for evaluation. He was released Tuesday morning and then questioned further.
