Since Brittany Murphy's death in December 2009 and her husband's five months later, her father Angelo Bertolotti has been arguing against claims that both died of natural causes, even though that's what the Los Angeles Coroner's office claimed, and always suspected that both were possibly poisoned.

Now however, after years of litigation and delay, Bertolotti finally was able to send blood, hair and tissue samples of Brittany's for independent testing for heavy metals and toxins, and the results are are awful and shocking. According to the results:

Ten (10) of the heavy metals evaluated were detected at levels higher that the WHO [The World Health Organization] high levels... If we were to eliminate the possibility of a simultaneous accidental heavy metals exposure to the sample donor then the only logical explanation would be an exposure to these metals (toxins) administered by a third party perpetrator with likely criminal intent.

Apparently both Murphy and Monjack showed symptoms of heavy metal poisoning, which include headaches, dizziness, cramps, tremors, wheezing, coughing and pneumonia, prior to their deaths, and heavy metal poisoning is most associated in cases where people have ingested either rat poison or insecticides.

According to the report, obtained by examiner.com, levels of heavy metals in Brittany's hair were two to nine times higher than what the WHO deems 'high'.

Bertolotti released a statement saying: 'Vicious rumors, spread by tabloids, unfairly smeared Brittany’s reputation. My daughter was neither anorexic nor a drug junkie, as they repeatedly implied. Brittany and Simon were ridiculed by The Hollywood Reporter, when they complained of being under surveillance and in fear for their lives. I will not rest until the truth about these tragic events is told. There will be justice for Brittany.'
