If there's one Donald Trump cares about, it's validation.

After being elected as US President, Trump actually went out of his way to slam Arnold Schwarzenegger's ratings on the Celebrity Apprentice on Twitter. In other words, he's supposed to be preparing for the highest office in the US, and probably the world, and he's instead talking about ratings for a poxy TV show.

You may have already read that Trump's press secretary, Sean Spicer, came out for his first press briefing to deliberately lie about attendance figures at Trump's inauguration, citing what he called 'false reporting' on the subject as there wasn't any available data on the topic.

While that may not be cold, hard, verifiable data - beyond actual photos and videos that show empty stands and the like - there IS cold, hard, verifiable data on the topic of ratings and it's clear that Trump's inauguration didn't bring as much as Barack Obama's inauguration in 2009.

According to Nielsen ratings, Trump's inauguration brought in 30.6 million viewers. However, Obama's inauguration in 2009 brought in 37.8 million viewers. For a man like Trump who's obsessed with ratings and audience figures, this has got to sting a little bit.

In fact, Trump took to Twitter - where else - and gave his own two cents on the matter, claiming victory over Obama's inauguration audience figures in 2012.

The man is literally US President and he can't stop trying to convince people that he's won.
