Well, last night we saw all of the talent from British Television gather together in one room for the TV Baftas 2009. As a black tie event goes, the style did seem to be very dressed down, and as for the show itself, well, that wasn't anything too spectacular either. Graham Norton was the evening's host, as he read from the autocue (and was quite obvious about it too) he cracked a few jokes that went down like lead balloons. However, he did execute some good ones and particularly took the piss out of Fern Britton and the fact that she found out how much Philip Schofield was earning and touched on Jonathan Ross getting laid off for 3 months after his prank phone call with Russell Brand.

So "who was there?" I hear you scream out. Well, the usual suspects that have been attending for the last few years. Tess Daly, sporting a massive baby bump. Not sure where she got her style advice from but I don't think that belly should be emphasised. She looks like she is ready to drop it. Katherine Kelly, who has been attending a number of ceremonies lately, looked amazing in a classic black full length number. Mrs Wossy arrived with her pink hair, but her hubby was sporting a very strange looking man bag?? Now what in god's name was that for? He was obviously convinced he would go home with a gong. Afraid not! Justin Lee Collins arrived with a lovely blow dry. If there was an award for best hair do on the night, he would most definitely win that one. Louise Redknapp, Michelle Ryan and Patsy Kensit were the scarlet ladies. As stylish as Ms Redknapp is, this is not her moment to shine, whereas Patsy looked very sultry indeed. Lucy Benjamin attended. Remember her?! Mischa Barton was on hand to represent Hollywood and wore some long, navy, high neck ensemble along with a "I really don't want to be here, but I suppose I do need to try and keep my profile up" look on her face.

The highlight from the night would probably be the ending, when French and Saunders picked up the Television Fellowship Award.
