The stars are currently filming 'Triplets'
"Here is the video of me giving him the cigar. I’m still waiting on Danny to send me the video of him giving it a try later that night."
While filming on the set of their latest production, 'Triplets', Arnold Schwarzenegger pulled a prank on Danny DeVito. And it wasn't just any prank, but one that has been over 30 years in the making as payback.
Naturally, with both of the actor heavyweights getting back into the swing of things on the set of their comedy sequel, there's going to be more than a few moments of behind-the-scene hijinks happening.
It turns out that Arnold Schwarzenegger's prank on Danny DeVito is actually payback for when, on the set of 1988's 'Twins', it was DeVito who gave first pranked Schwarzenegger by giving him a cigar of similar strength.
Schwarzenegger posted the moment on his YouTube channel.
According to CinemaBlend, the 'Terminator' star said: "This month I also got together with my friend Danny DeVito to promote our movie 'Triplets'! Ivan Reitman, our director who you know from 'Twins', 'Kindergarten Cop', and 'Ghostbusters', wanted to get us together with our new, third brother, Tracy Morgan over Zoom.
"Naturally, I saw this as the perfect opportunity to bring back a prank Danny pulled on me all those years ago on the set of 'Twins'. You may remember the story about Danny putting marijuana in my cigar. Well this time we turned the tables! We waited until the end of the shoot and gave Danny the gift. But unfortunately he still has the nose of a bloodhound, and sniffed out the special ingredient right away. Here is the video of me giving him the cigar. I’m still waiting on Danny to send me the video of him giving it a try later that night."
And now we wait for DeVito to record a video in response to the gag. As Schwarzenegger mentioned, Tracy Morgan will join the actors as their third "long lost" brother in the comedy sequel, which is due for release in 2022.
DeVito was recently in Ireland busy filming season 15 of his comedy show 'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia'.
