Part of the work of an animal shelter is to find new homes for the pets that come through their doors, and one Canadian society decided to make a creative campaign to advertise that they had plenty of residents who were looking for forever homes.
Enlisting the help of an international Star Wars costuming organisation (the guys that get their hands on the real deal gear and take it super seriously) the Ottawa Humane Society staged a photoshoot featuring storm troopers, a Tusken raider and an imperial spy...and of course all the animals too.
The results are bizarre yet hilarious, as the costume group, who go by the name of the 501st Legion: Capital City Garrison, posed with cats, dogs and even guinea pigs, which were all snapped by photographer Rohit Saxena.

The move proved pretty popular, getting plenty of attention online, and it seems as though many of the animals have gotten themselves a new hope home.
