In some incredibly sad news, it's been reported that Amanda Holden has lost her unborn child at 7 months.

The Britain's Got Talent judge announced in January just gone that she was expecting her second child, a boy, with husband Chris Hughes. However, Holden was admitted to the West Middlesex Hospital in London last Tuesday (01Feb11) when the baby stopped moving. It was later stillborn, reports the Associated Press.

Her agent Alison Griffin says, "They are utterly devastated. Amanda had been closely monitored throughout her pregnancy and it is not yet known what went wrong. Both Chris and Amanda would like to thank the midwives and staff at The Queen Mary Maternity unit at West Middlesex Hospital Isleworth for their tremendous support."

A flurry of condolences have flooded in, mostly via Twitter with The Sun reporting that "singer Emma Bunton and TV's Myleene Klass and Holly Willoughby - all pregnant - were deeply touched. Myleene tweeted: 'I'm so very sorry. Please God, watch over your family and your little angel in heaven.' Mum-of-one Emma sent 'prayers', while Holly said: 'Sending you so much love x.' Amanda's pal Simon Cowell was in regular phone contact. BGT stars Michael McIntyre, David Hasselhoff, Louis Walsh and Piers Morgan also sent their support. Michael told The Sun: 'Amanda is such a wonderful person. I'm heartbroken for her and Chris.' David said: 'Amanda is a first class lady. My heart goes out to her.' Lord Sugar said it was a 'tragedy', while Sun columnist Lorraine Kelly offered 'sincere condolences'. Davina McCall told Amanda: 'Thinking of you and Chris.' Comic James Corden - expecting his first child with fiancée Julia Carey - said: 'All my love and prayers to Amanda Holden and Chris. X.'  BGT hosts Ant and Dec and Victoria Beckham, who is expecting her fourth child, sent private messages."

Holden and Hughes are already parents to a daughter, Lexi, five.
