Amanda Bynes' career took a sharp downturn in and around six or seven years ago when she was arrested numerous times for driving under the influence and, in two separate cases, fleeing the scene of an accident.

Bynes went through a series of very public meltdowns on Twitter, during which time her mother was given conservatorship over her affairs. Fast-forward a few years to a couple of days ago and Bynes appears to be sober, lucid and ready to get back to work.

In an interview with Hollyscoop, Bynes says she's ready to do TV, "maybe a few guest spots on some shows that I’m a fan of and maybe another TV show that I’m the star of it." Bynes' last credited role was in 2010, where she starred in a supporting role alongside Emma Stone in Easy A.

Bynes explained that she's now three years sober, and spends her time hiking, working out and feeding the homeless. Not only that, Bynes is also taking classes in fashion and hopes to start her own clothing line at some point in the near future.

As well as this, Bynes was also asked about the infamous "Murder my vagina" tweet she sent to Drake, which she ably answered as a joke - but not a totally insincere one. "I was like saying, ‘Murder my vagina!’ I was serious, but I was also on drugs. So that was my way of saying like, ‘Let’s do it man,’ but I was on drugs and trying to be hilarious."

Here's the interview in full.
