That Josh Duhamel, AKA Mr. Fergie, was kicked off a flight for acting the goat (AKA he refused to turn off his Blackberry before take-off)... TMZ reports: "We're told the flight attendant asked Josh to turn off the device three separate times - and on the third time Josh laughed at his request. We're told Duhamel’s reaction infuriated the attendant, who then called for backup - and the plane, which was already on the runway, was turned back to the gate. Two officers eventually boarded the plane and escorted Duhamel off of the aircraft. We're told passengers were pissed - because the incident further delayed the flight"... That, of the X Factor, Bill Bailey said: "I think there's something very hollow at the heart of all the talent shows. I think there's something that's corrosive. Generally, it eats away at people's idea of what fame is, what celebrity is, what the rewards for fame should be - the correlation between talent and money and fame. It's overheated and overcooked to such an extent that young people - impressionable people - are going to have their views of all these things warped by it. I find it's very cynical and very manipulative because [Cowell] owns the record company, he owns the format of the TV show - it's like the house wins any way you look at it. Some of these kids can sing, and yet they're being put through this mill like that's the gold standard of how to progress in your musical career and it shouldn't be that. The X Factor shouldn't be the way that you get famous. You should be able to play in venues around the country, find your own style and carve out your own identity - then you get more of a sense of self-worth"... That Matt Cardle has said, if he wins, he won't be singing covers... That's him not winning, so... When talking to The Mirror, the 27-year-old singer said: "I want as much control over my career and debut album as possible. I wouldn't do covers as I want to write my own stuff. We'd come to some agreement I'm sure"... That a random insider added: "Simon respects Matt as an artist and he doesn't want to stifle his creative side, but that certainly doesn't mean he is going to give him free rein to release whatever song he wants... When it comes down to it, all Simon cares about is selling as many singles as possible and getting the Christmas No.1. If that means making Matt sing a cover, then that's what's going to happen... If he wants to truly be a success he will have to learn that Simon's the boss and what he says goes"... That, while promoting his new reality show featuring his daughters (which premieres on A&E [seriously] tonight at 10pm), The Hoff fondly remembered his burger video: "When I found out about the tape, I was overcome with an amazing sense of calm. God was basically saying, 'It's time to stop'. I knew why Taylor did it: she was afraid for me. I said, 'That's pretty cool that my daughter loves me to say, 'Dad, this is what you look like. We're scared'. End of story... It's not about falling. It's how fast you get up. You can count on me getting up. Hasselhoffs don't duck, we say, 'Bring it on!'"... That, according to The New York Post, Darren Aronofsky tried to get it on with Ellen Barkin at the premiere for Black Swan: "Newly single and mustachioed director Darren Aronofsky was trying his best to work the room at the Black Swan premiere after-party the other night at the St. Regis. The filmmaker, who has seemingly bounced back since his recent split with Rachel Weisz after a five-year engagement (it was never going to happen), spent an hour chatting up Ellen Barkin"... Again, that exciting report came to you thanks to The New York Post... That not all stalkers are antisocial: "Stallone was at his usual Saturday hangout, Cafe Roma, when Damon T. Dana (who was shirtless at this point) introduced himself to Sly and the two chatted for about a minute. The conversation was cordial and Sly went on to a private room to have lunch with Arnold Schwarzenegger. After the meeting, however, Dana stuck around, still shirtless, and started walking around the restaurant. The restaurant eventually had enough and called police. Beverly Hills PD responded and detained Dana. They eventually escorted him to his car and told him to leave. Dana was arrested back in August after he tried to sneak on to Sly's estate"... That a single glove worn by Michael Jackson during his Bad tour has been sold off at Julien's Auctions for $330k: "Other highlights included an x-ray of Albert Einstein's brain, which went for $38,750, and a pair of Marilyn Monroe's empty prescription bottles, which sold for $18,750".
