That Lindsay Lohan will appear on tonight's edition of The Tonight Show With Jay Leno. According to the New York Post "In an appearance taped to air on the talk show Tuesday, Lohan received a standing ovation from the crowd, according to a person connected with the show... The Mean Girls actress is a late addition to Tuesday's show, knocking a scheduled guest, Broadway star Kristin Chenoweth, to another date"... Makes you wonder why anyone famous bothers working for a living when one gets treated like royalty (on the brain) for just having enough money to get yourself out of a 120 day jail term... Expect to hear Lohan dribble such understatements as: "I think that when, you know, being young and being in the position I was in, you don't really take the time to appreciate what you have and it's all kind of a whirlwind, and people make decisions for you. But I'm not a kid anymore - I'm 24, I've made a lot of mistakes and I recognize that"... She also added a nugget of delusion: "I'm in the clear now, and as long as I stay focused, I can achieve what I want to achieve"... That Madonna's being sued by her "workers at one of her African charity projects"... According to The Sun: "Eight staff at the failed £9million Raising Malawi Academy for Girls claim they were let go without proper procedures. They say they were made to sign an 'unfair' termination deal. But in papers filed to a Malawi court, the absent star, 52, said: 'There is nothing unfair about the termination. It was necessitated by genuine economic reasons.' Madonna, who adopted two children from Malawian orphanages, said her charity opted to end funding 'after a careful review'"... That Nicholas Cage was also very nearly done for child abuse during his drunken stint last week... TMZ reports: "A child abuse detective was called in to investigate Nic Cage on the night of his drunken arrest - after a witness told police he saw Cage pull his 5-year-old son to the ground during an alcohol-fueled argument with his wife... this according to the New Orleans PD. According to the police report, Cage's wife Alice told police she and Nic had been arguing on the night of April 15 'due to his intoxicated state' ... when they went to pick up their son from a friend's house. FYI - Alice was in the driver's seat. Alice told cops she and Nic continued to argue until they arrived at their home - at which point she claims, 'Mr Cage fell while holding their son. The fall caused the 5 year old to suffer a minor abrasion to his left knee.' But a witness told cops a slightly different story - saying he saw 'Mr. Cage pull the male child to the ground by his hand.' According to the report, 'A child abuse detective was notified.' Cops say they wanted to interview Cage's son - but Alice wouldn't let that happen"...
