University of Kent's soccer team has found themselves in a bit of trouble after they got themselves a controversial new sponsor...Pornhub.Â
After struggling to find sponsors for their kit and keep their team afloat, the students from the Rutherford Raiders, the football team of the University of Kent, decided to mock up a kit with the logo of adult website Pornhub to highlight that they were looking for anyone they could get to help keep the team going.Â
While it was all in good fun at the time, the bosses at Pornhub ended up seeing the kits, thought it was a brilliant idea, and then sponsored the team for real. The University of Kent were not thrilled about it, however.Â

Martin Herrema, a spokesperson for sports at the university said  "The University of Kent sports department would never sanction sponsorship of this type – it is totally inappropriate", and the team were banned from wearing the shirts "at any time". They were also told that if they failed to comply, they may well be withdrawn from the league too.Â
The team themselves didn't think that there was anything particularly wrong with it, telling The Metro that "the decision is made by people in Kent Sport that are out of touch with what’s socially acceptable [and we] haven’t come across anyone yet that has found it anything other than funny."
