Now that Ophelia has had her way with Ireland, there's two groups of people who've done well out of it - namely teachers and school children.
As schools were closed both yesterday and today due to the storm warnings, one student - Olivia O'Driscoll - in Schull, Co. Cork felt she just had to thank meteorologist Joanna Donnelly for the weather updates - and the fact she got two days off school out of it.
The letter thanks Ms. Donnelly for "warning us all about Hurricane Ophelia," explaining that the young girl's father and grandfather are both fishermen in the region who are now safe thanks to Met Eireann's work.
Take a look.
My work here is done. I'm off to @dunnesstores for the dinner. Stay safe on the roads. xxx #Aftermath pic.twitter.com/LaT6PG27Ig
