Today marks the biggest ever day for Irish cruise tourism, as four ships deliver 13,000 people on to Dublin's Quays.

The passengers of the four ships, the Celebrity Silhouette, the MV Horizon, the Magellan and the Royal Princess, are expected to spend roughly €100 each in the city while the ships are docked, meaning a €1.3 million boost to the city's economy.

The Royal Princess, which has 19 decks, is 330m long, meaning it's just three metres shy of the largest boat to have ever docked in the city.

The ships are departing today in a staggered queue between 5.30 p.m. and 7.15 p.m. so if you fancy having a look at some massive boats, get down to the quays this evening.

Hey, don't look at us like that, you lot go mad for The Tall Ships so is this not the same? Anyway, as we've come to expect with these type of things, the surprisingly funny Gardai Twitter account had to chime in.
